Will Docherty

I bring eight years of front-line client work experience, including more recent experience in management within a multiple complex needs team. This has given me a deep and compassionate understanding of the demands of the role and the emotional load that professionals often carry in their day-to-day work. My background in applied psychology, counselling training, and time spent within a psychology team provide me with a strong theoretical foundation that complements my practical experience.

I have extensive experience facilitating groups using evidence-based models, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). My integrative approach to reflective practice facilitation draws on a range of models to help individuals and teams cultivate both the capacity and willingness for meaningful and critical reflection.

I am passionate about creating supportive and dynamic spaces where challenges can be explored, meaningful insights uncovered, and the significance of connections with both individuals and the work itself acknowledged and celebrated. I aim to empower professionals to navigate complexities with greater self-awareness and confidence, all while sustaining their well-being in demanding roles.

Currently, I facilitate reflective practice groups for clinical, non-clinical, and leadership teams within the third sector.
